About this activity
The ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park South is one of Australia's most beautiful and moving buildings — a 1934 Art Deco masterpiece housing the Hall of Memory and the Hall of Service, adorned with sculptures and mosaics that honour the 226,000 NSW men and women who served in the First World War.
On ANZAC Day 2026 (Saturday 25 April), the Memorial runs free 30-minute guided tours every half-hour from 1pm to 4pm. These intimate tours take in the stunning architecture, explain the symbolism built into every detail of the building, and share the human stories of those commemorated. It's a genuinely enriching experience for school-age children and a perfect follow-up to watching the morning march.
