About this activity

On Sunday 19 April, the State Library of New South Wales marks an extraordinary milestone — 200 years of preserving the history and stories of this great state. To celebrate, the Library is throwing open its magnificent sandstone doors for a free family open day.

This is a once-in-a-generation event in one of Sydney's most beautiful heritage buildings. Kids and adults alike can explore rare manuscripts, marvel at historic maps of Sydney, discover behind-the-scenes spaces, and join special family activities curated for the occasion.
