Youth Week Young Makers Market at Sydney Town Hall
Young people design, stock and run their own market at Sydney's Lower Town Hall as part of NSW Youth Week — free to visit, with unique handmade goods and a vibrant community atmosphere.
Lower Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000
About this activity
NSW Youth Week 2026 runs from 16–26 April under the theme 'Dream. Dare. Do.' — and Sydney's contribution includes one of its most charming events: a market entirely designed, stocked and run by young people at the iconic Lower Town Hall on George Street.
This is not your average market. Every stall is operated by a young person who has made, curated or created what they're selling. For families with older children and teenagers, it's both a great browse and an inspiring look at what young people are capable of when given the space. Entry is completely free, and the Town Hall itself is a stunning heritage venue worth seeing.
Families can look forward to:
- Free entry to a vibrant youth-run market in the iconic Lower Town Hall
- Stalls entirely designed and operated by young people aged under 25
- Unique handmade, vintage and creative goods across a range of categories
- Inspiring for older kids and teenagers to see their peers running businesses
- Part of NSW Youth Week 2026 'Dream. Dare. Do.' program
- Located on George Street — easy walk from Town Hall station
- Running through to Saturday 25 April, including ANZAC Day long weekend
