About this activity

NSW Youth Week 2026 runs from 16–26 April under the theme 'Dream. Dare. Do.' — and Sydney's contribution includes one of its most charming events: a market entirely designed, stocked and run by young people at the iconic Lower Town Hall on George Street.

This is not your average market. Every stall is operated by a young person who has made, curated or created what they're selling. For families with older children and teenagers, it's both a great browse and an inspiring look at what young people are capable of when given the space. Entry is completely free, and the Town Hall itself is a stunning heritage venue worth seeing.

Families can look forward to:

  • Free entry to a vibrant youth-run market in the iconic Lower Town Hall
  • Stalls entirely designed and operated by young people aged under 25
  • Unique handmade, vintage and creative goods across a range of categories
  • Inspiring for older kids and teenagers to see their peers running businesses
  • Part of NSW Youth Week 2026 'Dream. Dare. Do.' program
  • Located on George Street — easy walk from Town Hall station
  • Running through to Saturday 25 April, including ANZAC Day long weekend
